Community Involvement

Our house is very involved on campus. We have about 60 members participate in IUDM each year, which is the second largest student led philanthropy in the nation. IUDM benefits the Riley Childrens' Hospital in Indianapolis. This past year IUDM raised over $3.8 million. Our house alone raises between $45-50K each year. We already have three guys holding positions as sub-committee chairs for next year. We also have a hockey team that participates in Drop the Puck on Cancer which benefits the American Brain Tumor Association. This year we joined Face Off for the Forces which is a lacrosse tournament benefiting the Wounded Warrior project. This year we also hosted a blood drive benefiting Red Cross. We have four brothers involved in student government: Jalen Watkins, Toby Marvel, Jacob Swatek, and Nick Heeren. Jalen is a current Vice President and Toby was on Congress of Student Government.

Along with all of our involvment and philanthropic efforts, we are Hoosiers, about half of the brotherhood has season tickets to the Indiana football and basketball games. We have a tailgate for every home football game. We've had guys go to the game early, get front row seats, paint their bodies, and make it onto ESPN. We watch the away football and basketball games together either in the kitchen or packing up to twenty people into one of our tiny rooms.
